R&B/Soul singer Eric Benét makes an impressive return to the music scene with the release of his Warner Brothers Records album "Love and Life" on September 9th, 2008. With the success of his newly released single, "You're the Only One " - being heavily rotated on the urban adult contemporary radio charts - Benét's new tracks are already being praised and touted by fans as this generation's Al Green.
For the production and release of "Love and Life", Benét takes his sound back to his musical roots, recording most of the album in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI, and calling upon the spirits of his influences including Green, Marvin Gaye, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington and more by combining love soaked lyrics with his sensual vocal range. As an even greater homage to his past - both musical and otherwise - Benét shot an accompanying visual for "You're the Only One" where he threw a block party in his old neighborhood as the premise for the video.

Throughout his rich 12 years making music, it has always been genres such as jazz, soul and classical R&B that has grounded Benét in an already saturated music scene. With the release of the album Benét explores the markers of his past, present and future to produce 12 tracks filled with all of the best elements that "Love and Life" have to offer.
